Popping Yolk Cafe: A Gourmet Breakfast and Brunch Experience

I Google maps and reviews for a breakfast restaurant. The one reason I selected Popping Yolk Cafe was the current reviews giving high praise for food and service. The owner is proactive responding to all reviews. Good and bad reviews. So, I decided to have breakfast. You order at the cashier counter and the staff brings you your meal. My first impression the decor/ambiance was nothing special. The service was very good and knowledgeable. I ordered the "Nashville Hot Chicken Benedict " medium spicy. No knowing how they rate the spice levels. Next time I will choose the higher level of spiciness. I like the fact that they serve a salad with the entree to break up the richness of the eggs. The potatoes were crisp and just average. Coffee was so so not the best I've had. Ok with non dairy creamer which I never use in Coffee. I will definitely return. Maybe their new location in Arcadia closer to our home.

We came here Saturday morning around 1030am, no wait time. You have to order and pay at the counter before choosing your seat.They have patio dining but I orefer to dine inside. Food is the best,we ordered the Avocado Eggs Benedict and Ube stacks. We loved it, it's so yummy. The coffee is good too. Portions are generous. The server Matthew is very attentive and friendly. I definitely will recommend this place.

Popping Yolk Cafe is a super cute and aesthetic brunch cafe with locations in both Hacienda Heights and Alhambra. This local brunch spot serves everything from omelettes to sandwiches to crepes. They also have a variety of beverage such as coffee, tea, and juices. FOOD: What I Ordered: Classic Benedict , Half Order Toffee Banana French Toast , Popping Yolk Burger , Iced Caramel Latte , Fresh Orange Juice Eggs Benedict : Eggs Benedict is a brunch must have. While Popping Yolk offers a variety of unique Benedicts, we decided to stick with the classic. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked and topped with just the right amount of Hollandaise sauce. Banana Toffee French Toast : If you are someone who loves sweets for breakfast, I’d definitely recommend trying the French Toast. The French Toast is deep fried so it has an incredible crispy texture on the outside but still is nice and soft on the inside. I loved the combination of toffee and banana for toppings. Popping Yolk Burger : Whenever I have the option, I always choose to add a sunny side up egg to my burger so when I saw that the burgers here already come with an egg I was egg-static! This burger had all my favorite toppings and was so delicious! All of Popping Yolks savory entrees come with a generous side of country fried potatoes and garden spring salad. The country fried potatoes were one of my favorite parts of the meal. They are so fun to eat because they are in small bite sized pieces. They are so crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside. Drinks: As for the drinks, I love that their orange juice is freshly squeezed and you can really taste the difference! It’s so sweet and refreshing. The iced caramel latte had a nice caramel flavor and was was the perfect amount of sweetness. SERVICE: I went on a Monday afternoon so it wasn’t very busy. There were a lot of free tables so we got to sit wherever we wanted, inside or outside. We chose to sit outside because their outdoor dining space is super cute and aesthetic. We went to the front to order our food at the register and our food came out super quickly. The server was really nice and efficient. The parking lot here is a bit small but there is more parking on the side nearer to Vons so you will probably be able to find parking relatively easily! Food IG: @kristys.kravings

Interesting way to order food and seat yourself. You put in your order and pay up at the front desk and then sit yourself down at any free table. The menu is breakfast centric and has lots of Asian fusion options. Food comes out in a timely manner and is made fresh! Everything we ordered was very tasty. The French toast is so crunchy, it's amazing. Portions are big enough to share between 2 people. You can eat it by yourself, but you'd be pretty full by the end of it.

My family had a great experience dining in the branch in Pasadena, and I tried another one in Brea, so we decided to try one in Hacienda heights. We picked our table in the garden area, the service was great, the food was tasty, one part might need to improve is the tables and chairs are pretty aged, some marks are not available to clean up. I was trying to clean up couples time during dining, but found out I can’t. Otherwise it’s a great brunch spot for families or friends’ gathering.

Came here twice in the span of three days. First time, we ordered the eggs benedict which had super crunchy potatoes that I can't stop thinking about. The star was the ube French toast tho! Second visit, I ordered the smoked salmon croissant sandwich and really enjoyed it! My friends ordered omelets that were unfortunately very runny.

It was my first time visiting, and I was not disappointed by the food. I ordered the Florentine Benedict, and I also tried my coworker's Santa Barbara Burger, which was good as well. I will definitely return to try more items from the menu.
